I probably should have focused on the female instead of the male, and they might have both been sharp. I think I tried later to do so with a higher F-stop but, alas, I didn't change my ISO and my shutter speed had to go way down. So far down that it became apparent just how much I move when I press the button in 1/20th of a second.
